How to Track Workouts in Hevy

Navigate to the Profile tab and scroll down to see your current workouts, along with their title, a summary, the number of likes, and comments from other users.

The upward arrow icon at the bottom right of each workout opens a summary screen similar to the one you see when you save a session in your profile.

Tap on any workout to see the details and explore the likes and comments.

Create Routines From Workouts

Tap the three dots on the top right of any workout and select Save as Routine.

This opens a new window where you can select a new name, edit any of the training variables, and save that one-time workout as a routine (reusable workout template).

You can access the routine by navigating to the Workout tab > My Routines.

Tap Start Routine to use it as your template for a live workout, so you don’t have to add the details from scratch in the future.

Copy Workouts

Tap the three dots next to a saved workout and select Copy Workout to start a live session with the same details––exercises, sets, reps, weight, notes, rest timers, and everything else.

This is a simple way to start a new workout and easily see what your performance was last time (in addition to previous values) without having to add or change training details. It can work as an alternative to routines.

Edit and Delete Workouts

Tap the three dots next to a saved workout and select Edit Workout to change its details, such as adding or removing exercises and sets, changing reps and load, logging RPE, and more.

Alternatively, tap the bottom option to remove the workout from your profile.

Best workout tracking app

This is by far my favorite workout tracking app. You can tell that the creators work out themselves because they know how important it is to be able to label drop sets, failure sets, supersets, etc. It allows me to track everything I need. When if it’s been a while since I did an exercise I can easily take a look at my history.

Kept Me Accountable

I have been using this app since January. I love it. It’s the thing that had kept me in the gym this year because it helps me see results. I love how it syncs with my watch and I can input the weight and reps on my watch or phone. I appreciate that it supplies workouts for different splits so I don’t need to pay for a trainer. I love how it holds the last rep and weight from the previous time I did the exercise.

Really helpful illustrations

My focus now is on building functional strength to avoid injuries as I age. Coming back to lifting as an adult with moderate gym anxiety, the Hevy app has helped me track progress on my weights and allowed me to make intelligent choices about increasing the amount I’m lifting. I really appreciate the illustrations and animations that help me learn new movements.

The simplest option is to navigate to the Profile tab and scroll down to your current workouts. Tap on any of them to see details, including what exercises you’ve done, the overall volume, the number of reps, weight, RPE, and notes you’ve saved.
There’s no limit. You can scroll down to the start of your journey and examine any workout along the way. An easier option would be to navigate to Profile > Calendar, select a date (workout days are circled in blue), and examine the specific workout you want.
Hevy’s free plan allows you to store up to four routines at a time. The pro plan (only $2.99 monthly) unlocks unlimited routine storage.
Tap the three dots next to any saved session and select Edit Workout to edit any details you want. You can add or remove exercises and sets, change set types, input RPE values, write notes for exercises, and more.
Yes but only if you have a public profile. You can navigate to the settings (Profile > gear icon on the top right > Privacy & Social) and set your profile to private. That way, only users with permission to follow you will see your workouts.
