How to Enable Strava Integration

Navigate to:

Profile > gear icon on the top right > Integrations (under Preferences)

Tap Connect with Strava:

Review the page and tap Authorize:

You can always turn off the integration by tapping Disconnect.

How Strava Integration Works

Step 1: Open Hevy and log a workout as usual. (Read about starting an empty workout and the programming options.)

Step 2: Save the workout.

Step 3: Tap the Strava push notification or open the app and navigate to notifications to see an overview of the workout and edit details.

You can change the title and description, add a photo/video (and remove the one automatically imported through Hevy), choose who can see the workout (everyone, your followers, or only you), and adjust some details like the start time, duration, and type of session (e.g., weight training).

That’s it. The workout will now appear on your Strava feed.

WORK OUT. TRACK PROGRESS. SOCIALIZE.

Whether you’re a regular person, competitive bodybuilder, or athlete, Hevy allows you to log sessions, track progress, and socialize.

Best workout tracking app

This is by far my favorite workout tracking app. You can tell that the creators work out themselves because they know how important it is to be able to label drop sets, failure sets, supersets, etc. It allows me to track everything I need. When if it’s been a while since I did an exercise I can easily take a look at my history.

Kept Me Accountable

I have been using this app since January. I love it. It’s the thing that had kept me in the gym this year because it helps me see results. I love how it syncs with my watch and I can input the weight and reps on my watch or phone. I appreciate that it supplies workouts for different splits so I don’t need to pay for a trainer. I love how it holds the last rep and weight from the previous time I did the exercise.

Really helpful illustrations

My focus now is on building functional strength to avoid injuries as I age. Coming back to lifting as an adult with moderate gym anxiety, the Hevy app has helped me track progress on my weights and allowed me to make intelligent choices about increasing the amount I’m lifting. I really appreciate the illustrations and animations that help me learn new movements.

No. The only available option is to automatically sync your Hevy sessions with Strava, not vice versa.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a streamlined way to sync previous Hevy workouts with Strava. That said, you can log previously completed workouts through the calendar (Profile > Calendar > select a date > Log a workout) or by changing the date and time before saving a session to your profile. That way, you can share some older Hevy workouts with your Strava followers.
Double-check your Strava integration, quit and re-start both apps, and restart your phone if necessary. If the issue persists, email our support at [email protected] or navigate to the Profile tab in Hevy > Settings (gear icon on the top right) > Contact Us (under Help) > Get Help.
Yes, you can change the title and description, add an image or video, remove the automatically imported image from Hevy, pick a type for the workout (e.g., weight training), change the duration, write a description and private note, and select whether to publish the session to your Home and Club feeds.
Navigate to ‘Sync With’ and deselect Strava before saving your Hevy workout. Alternatively, sync the session, navigate to Strava, and tap ‘Only You’ under ‘Who can view’ to save the session to your profile but keep it private.
